Seven pieces, one square

Tangram

The oldest shape puzzle there is. Drag the seven pieces, turn them and flip them, and see what you can build — a square, a cat, a boat, or something nobody has made before.

This game needs JavaScript to play. There is nothing to print for this one — it is a puzzle rather than a set of questions — but the worksheets need nothing at all.

How to play

Drag a piece to move it.
Tap a piece to turn it a step.
Press and hold a piece to flip it over.
On a computer you can also right-click to turn the other way, or hold Ctrl and click to flip.
All seven pieces make one big square — but they also make cats, boats, birds and anything else you can think of.
